Bungay
Instructor:-Mr C.Gillett (World light heavyweight sparring silver medalist 2000, English Champion 2002)
Club open since January 2004 with 2 students winning silver medals in the British Championships, after training for just 3 months!
5 national champions at the last individual championships (2005)
9 members attended the team championships (2005) and 8 obtained medals! including a silver for Mr Gillett
A fantastic team effort at the recent eastern area inter club with 37 points, coming second to Kettering and Northampton. Well done guys.
A brilliant 2006 with a 10th place in the nationals after achieving 24 points, 4 gold medals, 4 silvers (including Mr gillett) and 2 bronze medals. This followed 3 silver and 2 gold medals at the scottish championships.
The regionals were well attended and bungay helped region 5 gain bronze by scoring 20 points, including 4 golds, 3 siver and 2 bronze (including mr gilletts 1st ever patterns medal!)
Fantastic 2007 competition series started with a 2nd in the inter club, 4 medals at the individuals and a superb 9 medals at the recent regionals.
Bungay gets its first 2 black belts, well done to Lianne Hatcher and Martin Sloan.
A great result at the 2008 East Anglia inter-club with Bungay narrowly loosing out to Wellingborough
Freya Dodd joins the bungay black belts after a fantastic grading and then does well in her 1st competition as a black belt.
Bungay gets a great haul of medals at the 2008 championships, but not just that fantastic spirit is shown by all 14 competitors. C Gillett achieved his 1st Silver for Patterns! and his 1st ever Bronze for sparring whilst Fiona Larter achieved a stunning gold for sparring.
A great start to 2009 after another second place in the east anglia inter-club, but loads of medals we then went to the welsh open and won 11 medals.

superb performances at both the British Championships (16 competitors and 14 medals) and the 1st Goodwill in Scotland (11 competitors and 6 medals), really well done.
